Whirlwind for Teams
Adopt AI coding agents
without losing control.
Your developers are already building with Claude Code and Cursor. The question is no longer whether AI writes production code. It is whether anyone can verify what it wrote. Whirlwind is a production SaaS codebase with that verification built in.
Talk to us about team licensingThe problem
Velocity you can't review
AI agents multiply a team's output, and its review burden. Agent-written changes look plausible, compile, and demo well, then fail in the ways that matter: a webhook that stops verifying signatures, a row-level-security policy that exists but doesn't deny, a credit route that charges and never refunds. Meanwhile each developer's agent makes its own architectural choices, and six months in you are maintaining several parallel codebases wearing one repository.
Manual review doesn't scale to agent velocity. The answer is the same one engineering has always used: encode the rules, and automate the checks.
Standardize
Architecture policy as code
Whirlwind ships contract files: CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, and an OpenClaw skill, that teach any agent the rules of the codebase: where migrations, routes, and components live, which invariants must not be touched, and how features are expected to be built. Every developer's agent reads the same contract, so the team converges on one architecture instead of drifting apart. Because the contracts are files in the repo, they are versioned, reviewed, and extended exactly like code, so your conventions become part of the codebase, not tribal knowledge.
Verify
Every agent change, checked before merge
The verification suite is three plain npm scripts. No proprietary runner, no cloud dependency:
npm run auditruns static checks over config, security, and drift, including code written after purchase. No network, no credentials.npm run doctorreports environment and service health, with--deeppinging live services and your configured AI models (Claude, GPT, Gemini).npm testgives Playwright end-to-end coverage of signup, checkout, and credit atomicity under concurrency.
Because they are ordinary scripts, they run anywhere your team works: locally, in code review, or on every pull request. Add one workflow file and agent-written code cannot merge without passing the checks:
# .github/workflows/whirlwind-checks.yml
name: whirlwind-checks
on: [pull_request]
jobs:
verify:
runs-on: ubuntu-latest
steps:
- uses: actions/checkout@v4
- uses: actions/setup-node@v4
with:
node-version: 20
- run: npm ci
- run: npm run audit # static checks, no secrets needed
- run: npx playwright install --with-deps chromium
- run: npm test # appearance suite runs without secrets;
# flow suite activates when test keys are setSecurity posture
Hardened by default
The codebase your agents extend starts from a defensible baseline: row-level security walls each user's data off in Postgres, secrets stay server-only, Stripe webhooks are signature-verified, rate limiting and sanitized errors are in place, and the audit checks continuously re-verify these properties as the code evolves. Security review teams get something rare with AI-built products: a written, checkable definition of what "correct" means.
Own
No vendor lock-in, no agent lock-in
You receive the full source in a private repository under a perpetual license. There is no runtime dependency on Whirlwind: no SDK phoning home, no hosted service in the critical path. The contract files work with Claude Code, Cursor, OpenClaw, or whatever agent your team adopts next. If we disappeared tomorrow, your product, your checks, and your architecture keep working unchanged. For procurement, that answer is usually the whole conversation.
Licensing
Teams & procurement
The TEAM license is $500, one-time covers up to five developer seats (reassignable as your team changes), unlimited commercial projects for your organization, and invoice/PO purchasing if your process requires it. It's purchasable directly with a card from the pricing page sits under most corporate card thresholds, so a tech lead can buy it today without a procurement cycle.
Individual licenses remain per-purchaser, and repository access isn't shareable under the standard license terms. For more than five seats, or agencies standardizing client work, we price directly.
