AGENT-DRIVEN SETUP
An AI agent gathers your keys and runs reviewed setup scripts: npm run setup writes your config and migrations, npm run doctor verifies it. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, OpenClaw, or by hand. Once running, it scaffolds new features that fit Whirlwind's architecture.
Setup runs through reviewed scripts your AI agent simply calls — Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenClaw, whichever you already use. The agent gathers your keys and runs the setup; you verify the result with one command. No lock-in to any single tool — and the agent layer is optional, since you can run setup yourself.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
A complete Next.js 14 SaaS template:
- ▸Supabase auth (email, OAuth, magic links, row-level security)
- ▸Stripe payments — one-time and subscription, with refund handling
- ▸Multi-model AI client (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google)
- ▸Tailwind + DaisyUI theming
- ▸Agent-driven setup — an instruction file for any AI agent (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenClaw) that knows the codebase and runs the setup scripts conversationally. Or set it up yourself.
You also get lifetime updates and access to the private GitHub repo.
- Two emails arrive after payment:
- A sign-in link to your dashboard
- A GitHub invite to the private Whirlwind repo
Accept the GitHub invite, clone the repo, and the dashboard has a 5-minute quickstart guide.
Two commands do the work:
npm run setupcollects your keys, writes.env.local, and runs the database migrations;npm run doctorverifies it worked. Run them yourself, or have an AI agent run them and walk you through obtaining keys. The agent only gathers your inputs by chatting — it doesn’t improvise with your keys; the reviewed scripts do the actual writing and migrating. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, OpenClaw, or no agent at all.
Once setup’s done, the same agent can scaffold new features — migration, API route, and component — in the right places, wired correctly.
Basic familiarity helps but isn’t required. Setup walks you through signup and key creation one service at a time, and
npm run setupwrites the.envfile and runs your migrations for you — you just paste each key when asked. If you can do that, you can ship Whirlwind.Whirlwind ships two things: deterministic setup scripts (
npm run setup, doctor, deploy) and a short instruction file for each agent —CLAUDE.mdfor Claude Code,AGENTS.mdfor Cursor and Codex, and a skill for OpenClaw.Point your agent at the repo and it reads its file, asks you for the keys it needs, and runs the scripts. The agent handles the conversation; the scripts do the actual work — so switching agents doesn’t change what happens under the hood.
So no, you don’t need OpenClaw specifically. Use whichever agent you already have, or skip the agent entirely and run
npm run setupyourself. The agent only gathers your inputs — it doesn’t freehand commands with your credentials. Reviewed scripts (which you can read) do the writing and migrations, you use Stripe and Supabase test keys during setup, and
npm run doctorlets you verify the result yourself. Everything runs on your machine; your.env.localis gitignored.7-day no-questions-asked refund. Email hello@whirlwindai.xyz with your order info. We’ll refund you in full and revoke your repo access — that’s it.
The BUILD plan licenses Whirlwind for one (1) commercial project. Building a second product with it requires upgrading to ACCELERATE (unlimited projects) or buying a second BUILD license. Both plans grant a perpetual license to the source code under the Whirlwind Commercial License — you can build as much as you want with what you have, but you can’t resell or redistribute the template itself.
Yes — the GitHub invite gives you ongoing access to the repo, including all future commits. We push updates as Anthropic/Stripe/Supabase APIs evolve, plus new features and fixes.
